Republicans are ass-backwards when it comes to social equality, Democrats are ass-backwards when it comes to stable economics. We could have something that works nicely if these two could ever play nice and share their toys, but they are firmly planted on opposite sides of the sandbox, tossing stones and handfulls of artificial sand at each other, claiming they both are backed by the entire class even though everyone else is playing on the swings and has no idea that they're even talking.
